"Seasonal Moulting"

Autumn and Spring Shedding of Eyelashes

LASH SHEDDING

As we head into our Autumn season, the Autumn/Spring Lash Shed is also here!

What is the Autumn/Spring Lash Shed you ask?

Well, each year around this time, we receive an increase in PMs and Calls, with our clients experiencing a higher than usual, unexpected loss of lashes and wonder if they were maintaining their lashes properly.

Further more to ALL Lash technicians, our students are also asking questions around their application of adhesives, as they have also received an increase in their clients losing their lashes quicker than usual.

Before you look at changing your adhesives or looking at your technique understand this..

The shedding of lashes in autumn/spring is real! Just like some of our animals shed more hair during this time, so do YOUR Lashes! The increase in the loss of lashes is most likely a seasonal shed.

What can you do?

Whilst there is minimal things we can do, outside waiting for the seasonal change, there are a few things you CAN do!

1. Understand the information above and have a discussion with your lash technician if you had further questions about Lash maintenance during the autumn/spring season.

2. If you are a lash technician, educate your clients during this period so they are fully aware of the increase in Lash loss.
